Tekno settles with Damfo Driver who threatened to deal with him for stealing their song

Tripple MG singer and producer, Tekno was at the verge of being dealt with by Nigerian duo, Damfo Driver who threatened to deal with him the moment they set eyes on him for redoing their song “Kpolongo” without permission.
While fans were expecting some sort of a war between the youngster and those old timers, it hits them all as a surprise to see Damfo Drivers and Tekno chilling out like pals. A picture of the duo and Tekno surfaced on the airspace as shared by the Tripple MG act after his timeout with the duo. Obviously, everything has been settled between them.

Tekno had taken to his IG page to post a picture of himself and Damfo Drivers with the caption: “Love. #SlimDamfo.” Other celebrities like Don Jazzy and Banky-W took to the comment area of the post to hail Tekno for settling things with the duo instead of starting a fight with them. Right now, there are no controversies surrounding Tekno’s “Jogodo.”

However, the Tripple-MG boss had notified the public that his label had reached out to Damfo Drivers seek permission but the process was inconclusive. Thankfully, all have now been resolved and the video of Jogodo is rocking the airwaves.

Davido and Chioma land Sierra Leone with his private jet – mammoth crowd welcome them

It’s no longer news that the DMW boss, Davido became the youngest Nigerian dude to own a private jet after he drew out a mammoth $25m to acquire a Bombardier Challenger 605 private jet without any financial help from his dad.
On acquiring the air monster, his first port of call was Sierra Leone where he was billed to perform at the inauguration of Sierra Leone’s new President, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio. As usual, Chioma wasn’t far from his side, as she has become like his new and most cherished handbag. But the more mind-blowing thing is the welcome they got.

On landing, OBO alongside his DMW crew posed around the jet for cute snapshots. As they made to proceed out of the airport, Sierra Leoneans were scattered all over the place to welcome them and take snapshots with OBO. It was quite a scene, as security personnel had to step in to control the crowd. OBO posted the pictures of everything with the tag;

“Touch down Sierra Leone! Congrats on the inauguration of your New President, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio. I’m honored to represent Nigeria by entertaining the new government at the Inaugural Ball later this Evening.”

Davido reportedly buys a $25m Bombardier Challenger 605 private jet

In the spirit of achievement, the DMW boss, Davido has reportedly added another achievement to his list of feats in 2018, as he has reportedly acquired a Bombardier Challenger 605 private jet that worth a whopping $25m.
The news of this acquisition has been trending on the airspace like there’s no tomorrow, even though the confirmation of the story is still very sketchy. The singer posted an Instagram video of a receipt that bore some details of the aircraft. From what was captured from the receipt, the aircraft he acquired is a Challenger 605.

The musician also suggested in his post that the private aircraft is expected in the country in two weeks’ time. Fans went into research to determine the cost of a Bombardier Challenger 605 and found that it amounts to a whopping $25m. Further research showed that $25m is Nigerian footballer, Mikel Obi’s net worth.

That supposes that Davido is three times richer than Mikel Obi that he used the footballer’s net worth to buy himself a private jet that’ll serve mostly for fun purposes. This goes to prove that Davido could indeed have $30bn like he claims.

Banky-W tells Adesua how he loves her small boobs after she complained about its size

Banky-W and Adesua Etomi have put up another show on the internet, and this time, it was about Banky-W reaching out to his wife to tell her how much he loves her small boobs after she somewhat complained that her boobs are small.
The Nollywood diva took to her IG page to gush over a certain Tolu who pleased her with her creative works. Adesua admired Tolu’s creation so much that she wished she had big boobs to fit those that seemed too big for her small boobs. In what can be termed a “mild frustration,” the actress lamented over the small size of her boobs. On IG, she wrote: “This is amazing Tolu @toolzo. I’m a huge believer in loving the skin that you’re in and I promise you, if I had big boobs, I’d have bought more. But since we are not quite there yet (lol), I’m sharing so that my curvaceous fam can know they are sorted. Congratulations. And may all your efforts be crowned with great success.”

Her husband, who is now the first and only beneficiary of those boobs, took to the comment area to console her saying: “Don’t worry. We like your own like that.” Fans have been wondering who and who make up the “we.”

Olamide comes to the defense of “Yahoo Boys” – drags an OAP who condemned them

As it has to do with making money legitimately and amassing wealth through internet fraud, the YBNL boss, Olamide has made it clear where he stands, as he sternly took a sweep at an OAP who condemned the art of internet fraud.
On Friday the 11th of May, the EFCC ones again proved to us that they are on their toes when it comes to fighting corruption and hunting down internet fraudsters, as they invaded Club 57 that morning and arrested up to 12 Yahoo boys. It was a carefully arranged and well-planned apprehension, ridding the airspace of 12 online havoc causers.

In the heat of things, Nigerian OAP who goes by the Twitter moniker, @Osi_Suave made some comments about the arrest that looked pretty much like he was condemning the boys if at all he actually wasn’t. But Badoo didn’t have time to ponder on the possibility that he may not have been condemning them. So he quickly fired shots at him saying;

“Somebody say Amen! RT @Osi_Suave: You can’t be condemning yahoo boys on Twitter and be moving with them offline.” This comment shows just where Badoo stands when it comes to internet fraud. Hope you’re not disappointed?

Sir Victor Uwaifo promises to drag Simi down for stealing his 1969 hit, Joromi

Legendary singer, Sir Victor Uwaifo has once again spoken on the issue of songstress Simi redoing his 1969 hit, Joromi without getting any sort of permission from him to do so, and he’s promised to drag her all the way down for that.
According to the 77-year-old singer, Simi stands guilty for using elements of his 90s’ classic, Joromi, to make her 2017 hit song which bears the same title. During an interview with Sahara TV, Sir Victor Uwaifo explained that he owns the right to the name ‘Joromi’ and threatened to take legal actions against Simi over the issue.

He says he created the name, stating that Joromi is his original idea, contrary to the popular opinion that it was extracted from the cultural books of Edo natives. He described it as a ‘franchise’ that has been trademarked. His words;

“Joromi is a franchise. Joromi never existed before. Joromi is a trademark. It has never happened. Take for example if I just go ahead and take the trademark of one of these soft drinks or something else and use it to do another work. Of course, they won’t take it cuz it’s a contravention. So, Simi is in trouble with me for using Joromi to do another work.”

Sophia Momodu replies Davido’s shade – calls Chioma a 'bitch'

Sophia Momodu has humiliated Davido and his girlfriend Chioma after Davido coldly threw jabs at her for a no-just cause. The abandoned baby mama notified the public about her hacked IG account and Davido scorned her.
This act by Davido was absolutely uncalled for, as Sophia’s words weren’t directed at him in any way. But then, he still shaded her like he had been waiting for a chance to do so. But he didn’t expect the reply he got. On IG, Sophia wrote:

“My Instagram has just been hacked. Smh. Guys, please report my page.” Uninvited Davido stopped by the comment area to shade his own baby mama with the following words: “Invisible hackers’ association of Nigeria. Hahaha.” His comment brought out the beast in Sophia Momodu who fed him back with one of the most epic replies ever. She said:

“Don’t play with me. Play with your bitch!” Davido has been considered childish for this episode he put up by shading the mother of his child, especially in a time like this when the whole country is on her neck as if she was the first person to see her baby daddy with another girl. On the flip side, Sophia has been held dearly by those who had shunned her.

Beef alert: Tiwa Savage unfollows Davido on IG after he exposed her affair with Wizkid

After several rumors and a few seeming confirmations that Wizkid Ayo could be dating Tiwa Savage, the reality of the allegation remained a puzzle until a short while ago when the problematic Davido stepped in and turned the tables.
It all began when Wizkid tweeted about needing a sister of his own. Davido then stepped in and started to ponder on the possible reasons Wizkid would need a sister when he has Tiwa Savage right by his side. The singer went ahead to tag Tiwa Savage Wizkid’s sex doll, alluding that the global Starboy already has a lover in the shape of Tiwa Savage.

On seeing the post by Davido, Tiwa Savage seemed not to be bothered by it, as she carelessly dropped a less concerned comment that reads thus; “Walking by jejely on my Tiwa’s vibe.” But although she responded to the tweet in that playful manner, a follow-up development showed that she really didn’t find OBO’s tweet funny, so she unfollowed him.

Davido got to notice that she had unfollowed him, and he reciprocated the gesture. A beef is therefore foreseen involving Tiwa and Davido. While all these were happening, Wizkid was just silent in the background like a boss.

Aspiring musician, Henry Knight accuses Mr. P of stealing his song without crediting him

Aspiring Nigerian musician who goes by the name Henry Knight has taken a sweep at Mr. P who he says stole the concept of his 2015 song. “Ebano” to do his (Mr. P) 2018 hit, Ebeano. Henry Knight says Mr. P is a cold-blooded thief.
The pained singer took to his IG page to express his disappointment at Mr. P for robbing the likes of him when he (Mr. P) wouldn’t lend a helping hand to him if he asked. Blasting the hell out of Mr. P, Henry Knight wrote:

“Every day in the industry, most of the big artistes who never for once help you even when you reach out to them in growing times, tend to get away with ripping you off and making a profit out of your property. Dear Peter Okoye, I released a song called EBANO on the 8th of August 2015 with hard earned money which was produced by Teemode.”

“You copied the hook of the song without any form of royalty that is required or any form of credit to me. We have seen other cases like when Davido credited Teni for LIKE THAT. It’s clearly true that you rise by lifting others. Henry Knight is not all about these dramas. I had to do this because this is not the first time something like this is happening.”

Davido reveals plans of retiring from music at age 30

Davido can be said to be a very fortunate Nigerian kid, having been born into a rich home and having discovered his musical talent and nurtured it to a point where he amassed millions of Naira/Dollars from the art in his early twenties.
The singer is just 25 years of age and has already acquired a $25m private jet of his own, in addition to all the other achievements he’s been able to get without his father’s help or something of that sort. Being a visionary man, the youngster has taken a trip to the future and doesn’t see himself doing music anymore once he gets to 30 years of age.

As of this moment, Davido is already planning to retire from music after having risen to become one of the most recognizable faces in the Nigerian music industry and bagging a lot of awards. In a recent interview, Davido hinted that he wants to retire from actively doing music when he turns 30, a mere five years away from the present day.

Stating his 5-year plan to the interviewer, the DMW boss said; “I am 25 now, and I have a five-year plan. “By the time I am 30, I don’t want to be actively doing music anymore.” Fans say it’s a smart move, as he’ll fade in five years anyway.

Woman stripped off her clothes for stealing clothes at PEP store in Lagos (photo)

Just recently in Lagos, a 36-year-old woman Jane Okeke, was disgraced in public, as she was caught stealing some clothes at PEP Super Store, Isolo, Lagos.
In what has been described as a public disgrace, a 36-year old single woman, Jane Okeke has been stripped naked and arrested after she was caught stealing some clothes at PEP Super Store in Isolo, Lagos. P.M.EXPRESS learnt the suspect went to a inner room provided to customers to test their selected clothes by the management before they make payment. However, Okeke reportedly selected 11 different wears and went inside the changing room with her handbag, pretended to be trying on those clothes before she could make payment. However, as she made to exit the store, the security demanded to search her and it was during that exercise that the management discovered what she did. She was stripped of those clothes she had already wore and was immediately handed over to the police by the management. At the police station, Anambra State-born Okeke confessed that she stole and that the store’s management took back their clothes including the ones she already worn leaving her naked. Name The 3 Persons Who Stole $3 Billion Under Goodluck Jonathan – PDP Challenges Osinbajo

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has challenged Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, to name the three persons he claimed allegedly stole $3 billion during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. The PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said it expects Professor Osinbajo to report those involved to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), if they truly exist. The party said it is improper for the occupant of the exalted office of the vice president to engage in smear campaign, making unsubstantiated statements to score cheap political points. “Vice president, Osinbajo, is a professor of Law and ought to know that patriotism demands that he should not make unsubstantiated claims but to place the names of such Nigerians in public. “We, therefore, urge vice president, Osinbajo, not to join President Muhammadu Buhari in de-marketing our dear nation, in a bid to score cheap political points and divert public attention from their failure in governance. “Indeed, we had expected the vice president to show leadership by naming those he claimed stole $3 billion and making moves to ensure that the amount is recovered, instead of bandying figures at public events,” the opposition party stated. Besides, the PDP said Nigerians want Osinbajo to address the issue of alleged colossal corruption in Buhari’s administration, especially in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), which he oversees, that is currently being investigated by the House of Representatives, in connection “to the handling of N18 billion emergency intervention fund.” Meanwhile, the party has also condemned the killing of 60 worshippers in twin blasts at a mosque and market in Mubi, Adamawa state, on Tuesday, by insurgents. The party equally expressed shock over the murder of a Special Adviser to Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, Mr. Ebikimi Okoringa by gunmen, on Monday. The PDP said Nigerians are worried by the endless killings of Nigerians under the the All Progressives Congress(APC)-led Federal Government. “It is painful that while president Buhari and the APC federal government are busy misleading Nigerians and the world with false claims of having decimated insurgents, the same insurgents are having a field day pillaging our citizens in various parts of the country. “We hold that if the incompetent APC administration had not continued to issue false security assurances, these compatriots would not have believed a lie and dropped their guards when they would have adopted more precautionary measures; only to be slaughtered as soft targets by insurgents. “The PDP, therefore, charges our security agencies to insulate themselves from the APC propaganda and take urgent steps to tackle the security situation in the country. Nigerians look up to them now, more than ever before, to deploy their patriotism and professional skills to ensure the safety of lives in our country,” the PDP stated.

[VIDEO] 7 Important Things Donald Trump Told President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari and his United States counterpart, Donald Trump, held a joint press conference in Washington D.C. today, addressing issues concerning the two countries. The US President frowned at the killing of Christians and Muslims in Nigeria, spoke on trade between the US and Nigeria, and said Nigeria is reputed as the “most beautiful country”. Here are seven things we learnt from the press conference: STOP THE KILLING OF CHRISTIANS — AND MUSLIMS President Trump asked the President to halt the killing and persecution of Christians — and the killing of Muslims in the country. TRUMP WANTS NIGERIA’S SUPPORT FOR US 2026 WORLD CUP BID At the press conference, Trump asked President Buhari to support the United States bid to host the 2026 world cup. He said Canada and Mexico are also bidding to host the world cup in 2026. “We would be watching very closely, and any help they could give us on that bid, we would appreciate,” Trump said. NIGERIA HAS REPUTATION FOR CORRUPTION, BUT BUHARI HAS CUT THAT DOWN VERY SUBSTANTIALLY The US President also said Nigeria has a historical reputation for corruption, but President Buhari has been working to cut that down very substantially. “In terms of corruption, Nigeria has a reputation for very massive corruption, but I also know that the president has been able to cut that down very substantially, we talked about it, and they have made a lot of progress,” Trump said. WE DIDN’T DISCUSS “SHITHOLE COUNTRIES” President Buhari, being the first president from sub-Saharan Africa to visit Trump after the US president was reported to have made vulgar comments about African countries, was asked if he discussed that. The Nigerian president said he is very careful about what the press says about him and other leaders, adding that he did not mention anything about the comments. Trump in turn, said: “We didn’t discuss it, and you do have some countries that are in very bad shape, and very tough places to live in. We didn’t discuss because the president knows me, and he knows where I am coming from, and I appreciate that”. BUHARI CAN’T TELL US WHAT TO DO President Buhari, while answering questions on US import of Nigerian crude, said he cannot tell the US what to do, but urged the country to invest in technological advancements that could make use of Nigeria’s oil. WE GIVE YOU $1BN IN AID — TAKE DOWN NIGERIA’S TRADE BARRIERS Trump said Nigeria has trade barriers in place against the United States and said both countries are working on ripping down those trade barriers. “We give Nigeria well over $1 billion in trade every year, and we have already started talking with the president about taking down the trade barriers; very substantial barriers to the United States trade,” Trump said. NIGERIA WANTS OUR AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS The US president added that Nigeria was interested in agricultural products from his country, stating that plans are now in place to allow export of US farm produce to Nigeria — for the good of US farmers, Nigeria, and Africa. THERE’S NO COUNTRY MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN NIGERIA When asked if he would visit Nigeria, Trump said he would like to visit the country, adding that he has heard that there is no country more beautiful than Nigeria. Also Read: “It’s Better I Keep Quiet,” – Buhari On ‘Shithole’ Comment “I would like to visit Nigeria, it is an amazing country, and in certain ways, I hear from the standpoint of the beauty of a country, there is no country more beautiful,” Trump said.

“If Christians Swallow Trump’s Bait, Nigeria Will Become Another Iraq,” – Muslim Group Warns

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has criticised US President Donald Trump’s comments on the killing of Christians in Nigeria. During a joint press conference with President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, Trump said the US will not accept the attacks on Christian communities in Nigeria. Reacting to the US president’s position, MURIC urged Nigerian Christians to “not allow themselves to be deceived by Trump”. The Muslim group said Trump misfired by making the statement and alleged that he “is only using religion to turn Nigeria into another Iraq”. MURIC warned Nigerian Christians against “swallowing Trump’s bait”, else the West African sub-region will “be shaken to its foundation”. In a statement on Tuesday, Ishaq Akintola, director, MURIC, said Trump’s statement “is prejudiced, parochial and unpresidential”. Akintola said Trump, by virtue of the comment, “is luring Nigerian Christians into bolder confrontation” with Muslims. “It is sheer interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation. Trump has a bully’s instinct,” the statement read in part. “If this is the same Trump who called African countries ‘shithole’, the same American president who threatened to wipe out North Korea, the same US leader who banned Muslims from entering his country, the same Republican who said, “Torture works, ok folks?”, Nigerians must be wary of America’s involvement in their affairs. “We should remember that Nigeria did not get the required support from the moderate and cool-headed Barrack Obama in its war against terrorism. We should therefore not expect any from Trump who treats vulnerable nations with contempt and has no respect for African countries. Unless Nigerians unite, this country will become America’s ‘shithole’. “Trump’s comment on killings in Nigeria implies that he would prefer that it is Muslims alone who are being killed. We refuse to believe that a whole American president does not know the true situation on ground in this country. He who knows but pretends not to know has his own secret agenda. Nigerian Muslims are not intimidated by Trump’s comment. We only sympathise with those who will be gullible enough to become Trump’s ‘suckers’. Posterity will judge us. “Nigerian Christians should not allow themselves to be deceived by Trump’s comment. The advanced countries of today will not compromise the secret of their technological advancement. Western countries will not teach us what will benefit our people. They will only teach us what will divide us in order to further render us debilitated, impoverished and helpless. “Nay, they will give us fish but refuse to teach us how to fish. They will scatter us like wild oats and then give us weapons to kill ourselves. Then, under the guise of rendering humanitarian services, they will take over our land, our oil, our rich culture and force homosexualism and lesbianism down our throats but at that time, it will be too late to resist. Mark our words. “Trump is only using religion to turn Nigeria into another Iraq. Just as former US President Bush used Sunni-Shiite dichotomy to destroy Iraq just to lay his hands on Iraq’s oil field, Trump is also eyeing Nigeria’s oil. His plan is to use Christian-Muslim divide to set Nigeria ablaze. But Nigerians should remember that decades after the invasion of Iraq, that country is yet to experience stability. Years after the killing of Ghadaffi, Libya is yet to find its feet. The guns are still booming in Syria and the world holds its breadth each time North Korea sneezes. “It is our contention that Trump is luring Nigerian Christians into bolder confrontation with their Muslim neighbours. We warn that the West African sub-region will be shaken to its foundation if Nigerian Christians swallow Trump’s bait. The extension to Nigeria of America’s crusade which brought ruins to Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya and Sudan will have dire consequences on the whole African continent. MURIC urged the federal government not to rely on US support to tackle the security challenges in Nigeria and also warned against a military alliance with the US.

[UNBELIEVABLE PHOTOS] Snake eats crocodile after hours of battle In Australia

A huge snake has won a life and death battle against a crocodile in Australia, swallowing the animal whole after a lengthy struggle before amazed onlookers. Travis Corlis, who watched the fight at Queensland’s Lake Moondarra, near the mining town of Mount Isa, on Sunday, said the snake, thought to be a python, was about 10 feet (three metres) long and “healthy looking”. The crocodile, which the snake coiled itself around, was about three feet in length, he said. “They had quite the struggle in the water,” he told AFP. “It was an ongoing battle. “We were just standing there in amazement watching it.” Corlis said several hours after he first saw the encounter, he noticed the snake had pulled the crocodile onto the banks of the lake and released its prey, which by this stage was dead. “About 10 minutes later the crocodile was gone,” he said, referring to the creature being eaten. His wife Tiffany described the battle as “just unbelievable”. “We were sort of thinking that the snake had bitten off a little more than it could chew,” she told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. “But it did. It actually ate the crocodile.” She added: “When you actually looked at the snake, you could actually see the crocodile’s ridges, legs and everything inside its belly.” Tiffany said the crocodile had struggled to keep its head out of the water, and while both animals had clearly tired during their marathon fight for survival, “finally, the croc sort of gave in”. Travis Corlis said while crocodiles and snakes were both common in the area, he had never seen them battle each other in such a way. Freshwater crocodiles are known to inhabit Lake Moondarra and Travis Corlis said a recent drought had seen the water level drop, making them more visible. “I think it might just have been nature at its best,” he said. The Australian state of Queensland is home to some of the world’s most dangerous snakes, as well as saltwater crocodiles.

[PHOTOS] Osun Govt Seals Obafemi Awolowo University Over N1.8bn Tax Invasion

Officials of the Osun State Internal Revenue Service on Wednesday stormed the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and sealed the main gate and the administrative block over a tax debt of N1.8 billion. Our correspondent gathered the officials of the revenue agency, together with heavily armed security operatives, stormed the university and sealed the institution after getting an order of the court to do so. One of the OAU officials told our correspondent on the telephone that the officials came with policemen and members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and shut the main gate before going ahead to seal other places. Also Read: [AUDIO, PHOTO] OAU Lecturer, Professor Richard Akindele Caught On Tape Demanding Five Rounds Of Sex To Pass Female Student He said the closure of the main gate led to agitations from the staff and others who had business at the campus. He said, “Officials of Osun State revenue agency sealed our main gate, the secretariat and other places this morning. They came together with armed policemen and NSCDC officials. “They closed the main gate but some of the staff, commercial bus drivers and business operators especially food vendors and others became agitated and this led to a serious crisis. The gate was eventually opened but other places remained closed.”

“God Will Judge Past Nigeria’s Rulers,” – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that most youths from the northern part of the country are either uneducated or school dropouts. He also said God would judge past leaders who misgoverned the country. Buhari said because Nigerian media only do what they like, they refused to highlight the explanations in his recent statement in which he was widely quoted as describing a lot of Nigerian youths as lazy. The President said this in an interview he had with the Voice of America, Hausa service, in Washington, United States on Tuesday. When asked about his reported comment on Nigerian youths while in London for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, Buhari said the media only preferred to report what they like instead of concentrating on developmental journalism. Also Read: “Buhari’s Government Has No Capacity To Give Nigerians What They Deserve,” – Sahara Reporters Publisher, Sowore The President said, “You know they say we are between 180 and 200 million people in Nigeria and 60 percent are the youths below the age of 30. “In the North, for instance, most have not attended school or they abandoned halfway. “If not because we had favourable rainfall in the past two seasons, most of them have no job, just idling away. “People like them, even if they go to the South for instance, what they will make will not be enough to even pay their rent let alone feeding, clothing and transport back home. “That has not been explained enough and you know the media, especially the print, are simply doing whatever they like. “We had two successful farming seasons, people went to the farm and did very well, but no one is talking about that; only insults. “That is why the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, had to respond to the letter of insults released by (former President Olusegun) Obasanjo. We spoke about it and I asked him not to respond but he refused and said he would just respond by stating the situation we met the country, where it is now and what has been done in-between and the monies we are getting.” Buhari restated his position that the Peoples Democratic Party, in its 16 years in power, left debts for the country despite making huge income from oil. He said there were no good roads or power supply to justify billions of dollars spent, adding that only God would judge the past leaders. “Recently, I had to come out and state that from 1999 to 2014, anyone who carries out a study here in America or Europe or India will know that we were producing 2.2 million barrels of crude oil daily at a price of at least $100 per barrel. “In those 16 years of the PDP rule, Nigeria was getting 2.1 million x $100 every day, every week, but when we came on board; the price fell to between $37 and $38 and hanged around $40 and $50. “I went to the CBN – the governor of CBN is here and asked him how far and he said nothing was left apart from debts. “I said but this is what the country made? And he said yes, he knew, and I asked him where is the money? All is gone. “Nigerians know that there were no roads or rail lines, there was no power, despite the billions of dollars spent. Only God will judge this thing,” the President declared. Buhari insisted that conflicts between farmers and herdsmen did not start now, adding that it was wrong to describe it as clashes between Fulani and other people. As part of efforts to restore security in parts of the country, Buhari said he had approved the recruitment of additional 6,000 policemen for the country. He said his directive was that the personnel should be recruited across the 774 local government areas in the country instead of “going to motor parks and markets to just pick people anyhow.” Buhari also kicked against the establishment of state police as being canvassed by some people including state governors.

“Go To The Farm And Earn Respect,” – Buhari Tells Nigerian Youth

President Muhammadu Buhari has asked educated and uneducated youth in the country to go into farming in order to earn respect. According to Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Buhari said this at Blair House, Washington DC, while meeting with chief executive officers of six US agricultural companies and their Nigerian counterparts, including Aliko Dangote. Buhari promised the support of his administration in the promotion of skill development, innovation and entrepreneurship among the young population. “We realised, rather belatedly that we ought to have been investing in agriculture. We are now aiming at food security because of our large population,” Buhari was quoted to have said. “Our youths, the ones who have gone to school and even those that have not, should go to the farm, to earn respect for themselves. Agriculture is providing jobs for millions of our citizens and we are doing well towards the attainment of food security and jobs. The media may not appreciate the work we are doing but we will shock them by the success we are recording.” Also Read: “A Lot Of Nigerian Youths Are Lazy And Uneducated,” — Buhari The president lamented the challenges of the country’s youth bulge, with “sixty percent of the population below 30 years”. He said the country must help the young people to plan their future and urged them to explore opportunities easily accessible in agriculture because, as he said, “agriculture is the future”. According to the president, planning in Nigeria must take into consideration the factors of climate and a bulging youth population. Buhari welcomed the several investment proposals being put in place by the Americans and their Nigerian counterparts Like, Smile, Unlike, Happy
